Salvation
“For God so loved the world that He gave his only son” John 3:16
What does it mean to be saved?
Perhaps you have asked this question. Simply put, salvation transforms us as individuals and begins our personal relationship with God and His Son our Savior Jesus Christ. It begins our journey of discovering true joy and purpose and defines and develops us as disciples of Jesus Christ.
The good news is that salvation is available to EVERYONE; you just need to believe on our Lord Jesus Christ and accept Him as our Savior. (Ephesians 1:13)
What must I do to be saved?
- First, admit your sins to God. The Bible says that “all have sinned and have come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). To be saved means that we admit that we are sinful and have moved far from God, and are inviting Him to become Lord and Savior over our lives.
- Confess that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of your life and that he came into the world to save us from our sins (…If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)
- Believe that now you have eternal life through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Bible declares “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
