INTRO: February is Black History Monday. We celebrate our culture and community each day!

ALL MINISTRY LEADERSHIP “CHECK UP” MEETING: The next All Ministry Leadership check-up meeting is tomorrow, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m.  All ministry leaders are asked to attend.

NEW MEMBERS CLASS: The next New Members’ class will be held Sat., Feb. 11th at 10 a.m. and will focus on Christianity and Discipleship.

CHILDREN’S BIBLE STUDY: Children’s Bible Study is back! Bring your children out Fri., Feb. 10th at 7 p.m.

SAT PREPARATION: The Education Ministry is offering the first of two four-session SAT Preparation Classes. First session will meet four consecutive Saturdays beginning Sat., Feb. 11Sat., March 4 from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Open to all high school students. Registration is $125. Call the church office to register.

YOUNG ADULTS: You’ve heard the songs, loved the group and watched the series, now come learn the lessons from the Bible. Join The Experience this week as they get some help from New Edition. Week #1 – If It isn’t Love. Week #2 – Count Me Out and Week #3 – Can You Stand the Rain. Don’t miss it…Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. at the Original Sanctuary!

PRE-MARITAL SEMINAR & INSTITUTE: Considering marriage, engaged or already planning your wedding? Then come out for a Bone of My Bone Pre-Marital Seminar taught by Pastor Jo Ann Browning Thurs., Feb. 16th at 7p.m.  All engaged and dating couples thinking about getting married are welcome to attend.

Couples planning weddings for 2017 are encouraged to invest in their relationship with pre-marital counseling. Bone of My Bones Pre-Marital Institute is held on Saturdays for 8 weeks from 9 a.m.-11a.m. The first class begins Sat., Feb. 18th. Cost is $75. Register in the Church Office.

CHRISTIAN BUSINESS MINISTRY: The Christian Business Ministry is back and moving forward. Stop by the Narthex between services to take our business survey and register your business. There are a number of ways to register your business:) In-person today Feb. 12, 26 and March 12 and 26 or via smartphone using the QR code found on the flyer in the Narthex.

SEXUAL HARASSMENT & CHILD ABUSE WORKSHOP: There will be a mandatory church Sexual Harassment Child Abuse Workshop Thurs, Feb. 16th at 7 p.m. All adults who come in contact and work with youth in the church must attend.

COMMUNITY SHRED DAY: This year’s Community Shred Day is Sat., Feb. 18th from 10-2p.m. on the church grounds. This is a time to securely dispose of personal papers no longer needed. The truck will safely shred confidential papers, paper file folders, staples, paper clips, & small binder clips. Unacceptable items include pens, batteries, cell phones, laptops, CDs, explosive materials and more.

2017 Spring Black College Tour: It’s coming soon, get ready, get ready, and get registered for the 2017 Black College Tour Sun., April 16-Thurs., April 20. Register today in the Narthex.

CREATIVE GIFTS SEMINAR & CELEBRATION AT EBENEZER: Ebenezer will host its first CREATIVE GIFTS SEMINAR & CELEBRATION Fri., March 10-Sun., March 12. Come develop your creative gifts in the areas of art, voice, music, writing, drama, liturgical dance, musical instruments, poetry and spoken word, video/audio production and more. Sign-up today in the Narthex. Cost is only $5 for adults and free for all youth ages 5-17.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH: It’s Black History Month and each week, we will share a fact about our history and culture. This week in 1964, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 by a vote of 290-130. The bill prohibited any state or local government or public facility from denying access to anyone because of race or ethnic origin. Black Live and our history matters!
