QUARTERLY CONFERENCE: The 4th Quarterly Conference for the Potomac District with Presiding Elder Braxton will be Thurs., Feb. 27 at 7:30 p.m. All ministry heads are asked to come out with your reports.

PREACHING ENGAGEMENT: Ebenezer church family, please continue to pray for our Pastors. Pastor Jo Ann Browning is Preaching Lenten Service at Allen Chapel AME in Washington, D.C. on Wed., March 11 at 7 p.m.

LENTEN SEASON: The Lenten Season is quickly approaching. Ash Wednesday is the beginning of the season. Join us for Ash Wednesday service with Pastor Grainger Browning Wed., Feb. 26 at 7 p.m.

Each Friday morning at 6 AM during Lenten Season the Ministerial staff will share the Word. Rev. Angela Milligan will preach on Fri., Feb. 28 at 6 a.m.

CHURCH CLOSING: The Church and Admin. Office will be closed Mon., Feb. 17 in observance of President’s Day. The 24-hour answering service will be available in case of emergency.

NEW MEMBERS’: The next New Members’ class is Sat., Feb. 22 at 10 a.m. and will focus on stewardship.

CALL TO MINISTRY: The next Call to Ministry meeting with Pastor Jo Ann Browning will be held Tues., March 3 at 7:30 p.m.

BALM MINISTRY: Join the Blessings and Love Married and Engaged Couples Ministry as they continue to celebrate February as “Black Love” month. All couples, married, engaged and seriously dating are encouraged to come and celebrate love with BALM on Sat., Feb. 22 9:30 AM for their Coffee & Conversation on “Love & Wealth” with Rev. Jay and Rev. Melanie Gamble.

POETRY MINISTRY: Join the Poetry Ministry to celebrate Black History Month Fri., Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. The theme is African Americans and the Vote with performances by the Anointed P.E.N.S., African drumming, dancing, Psalmists of Solomon, Open Mic, and guest poet, author and educator, Derrick Weston Brown. COMFORT MINISTRY: The Department of Comfort & Congregational Care will hold its 2020 Annual Summit Sat., Feb. 29 at 9 a.m. This year’s theme is “A Call to Action …Godly People Taking Care of the Temple of God.” Cost is $25 for adults and $5 per family for children ages 6-18 years of age. Be enlightened, inspired and empowered in the care of your temple…mind, body and spirit. Learn how you can add years to your life with basic care. CHILDREN’S (KL4C) BIBLE STUDY: This month, our kids will join the teenagers for a special Black History Youth and Children’s Bible Study Fri., Feb. 28 at 7 p.m.

SUNDAY SCHOOL: Help the Potomac District with making strides to support higher education by spreading the word about the 5K Run/Walk Sat., March 7. Recruit your family, friends and co-workers to join the Sunday School in this effort! The 5K is open to all! Sponsors are also welcome. Register after service today! Call the Admin. BLACK HISTORY MONTH: February is Black History Month. Throughout the month, we’ll highlight the achievements of African Americans. Today’s focus is on Dr. Mae Jemison, the first African-American woman to become an astronaut and travel in space. In 1992, Dr. Jemison, along with six other NASA astronauts, orbited the earth for more than a week in the space shuttle Endeavor.
