PREACHING ENGAGEMENTS: Today, at 3:30p.m. Pastor Grainger Browning Jr. will be preaching at Campfield AME Church in Pikesville, MD.  In addition, on Sat., Oct. 22nd at 11a.m. he will be preaching the Closing Service for the Southwest Alabama Annual Conference at St. Paul AME Church in Mobile, AL.

NEW MEMBERS CLASS: The New Members class will be held Sat., Oct. 22nd at 10 a.m. and will focus on stewardship. There is no class Oct. 29th.

Women’s Resource & Restoration Center (WR&RC): Join the WR&RC for a day in New York City Sat., Oct. 22nd. See the sights, attend a play and do some shopping for yourself and a family in need. The cost is $65 and due by Oct. 14th and $70 after Oct. 14th.  Register in the Narthex.

EYL4C & YOUNG ADULTS MINISTRY: Elementary Students get ready for a night of worship, workshops, food, fun and fellowship. Register today for Ebenezer’s Lil Kids Lock-In Fri., Oct 28th at 7 p.m. – Sat., Oct 29th at 7 a.m. Cost is $10 and for Elementary students only. Register in the Narthex.

Set the date for Oct. 29th at 7p.m.! You don’t want to miss the “The Encounter meets The Experience”—a Saturday Night Youth and Young Adult Worship Service with a dynamic tag team message from Rev. Akil & Rev. Ware along with guest artist Zacardi Cortez in concert.

EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION & ASSISTANCE MINISTRY: The Employment Information and Assistance Ministry is pleased to announce a hands-on workshop on interviewing skills entitled “Acing the Interview” Sat., Oct. 22nd, at 9 a.m. Sign up in the Narthex after service.

COMFORT CAREGIVERS SUPPORT MINISTRY:  Join the Comfort Caregivers Support Ministry for their Fall Focus Fellowship meeting Sat., Oct. 29th at 1 p.m.  Former, future caregivers, and support persons are always welcome. Put a Praise, Prayer, and Promise on your caregiving concerns.

POETRY MINSTRY: The Poetry Ministry is celebrating National Arts and Humanities Month Fri., Oct. 21st at 6 p.m. Participants include the Anointed P.E.N.S. featured poet, Sheryl Leigh Robertson, and much more. They are also recruiting new members, so if you have a love for poetry, please come out. Contact peotry@ebenezerame.org.

COMBINED USHER BOARD: We are in need of more doorkeepers! Open season for recruitment for the Combined Usher Board begins today-Dec. 16th. Interested youth ushers must be at least 10 years old. Please stop by the Usher Board table in the Narthex.

MOBILE HOMELESS VAN MINISTRY: If you have NEW or GENTLY USED fall and winter clothing, coats, shoes, boots, hats, or scarves, that you would like to donate to the homeless men, women, and children, please drop them off in the box marked Mobile Homeless Van Ministry (near the Security Desk) through Nov. 7th. Travel sized toiletries, including toothpaste, lotion, soap and deodorant are needed.

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS: We continue to provide breast cancer facts throughout Oct. FACT #3: From 1990-2013, breast cancer mortality decreased by 37 percent (avoiding approx. 249,000 deaths). This decline in mortality is due to improved breast cancer treatment and early detection. Please…conduct a self-breast-exam and get your mammogram screening…it saves lives!

MEN’S SEASON (MS2K16): Brothers, don’t miss the MS2K16 Forum with Bro. Derrick Fenner 30/30 Thurs. Oct. 20th at 7:30p.m. Then, Sat. Oct. 22nd at 10 a.m. join our Movie Road Trip & Discussion.
