PREACHING ENGAGEMENT: Church family, please continue to pray for our Pastors. On tomorrow, Jan. 20 at 9 a.m. Pastor Grainger Browning, Jr. will give the invocation at the 9th Annual Wreath Laying honoring the life of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Ebenezer’s choir will also be singing.

CHURCH CLOSINGS: In observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Day, the Administrative Office and the Church will be closed on tomorrow, Jan. 20. The 24 hour answering service will be available in case of emergencies.

NEW MEMBERS’ CLASS: The next New Members’ class is Sat., Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. and will focus on stewardship.

MOVIE VIEWING: Let’s take a trip to the movies for a private viewing of “Just Mercy” starring Jamie Foxx and Michael B. Jordan at the Hoffman Theater this Sat., Jan. 25 at 10:30 a.m. (viewing at 11). This event is co-sponsored by the Men’s, Young Adult, Youth & CFAM Ministries. Tickets are on sale today—$9 for adults and $7 for youth (17 and under). Stop by their table after service.

YOUNG ADULTS MINISTRY: Young Adults, be part of our Young Adult movement. Don’t meet us, beat us to Young Adult Bible Study this Thurs., Jan. 23 at 7:30 p.m.

TL4C BIBLE STUDY: Attention all Middle & High School students. Join Rev. Akil and TL4C this Fri. Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. for Real Talk. No games, no gimmicks, just the Gospel and keeping it 100!!!

SOCIAL CONSCIOUS MINISTRY: It’s time for voter registrar training and Certification. All interested, join the Social Conscious Ministry on Sat., Jan. 25 at 10:30 a.m. to be trained and certified as a voter registrar. Once trained, you will have the ability to register voters anywhere in the State of MD. Certifications are only good for 2 years. If you were trained in the previous election, it is time for you to renew!

BLACK HISTORY MONTH CONCERT: Don’t miss this Black History Month Concert Byron Cage featuring Richard Smallwood and Morgan State University Choir Sun., Feb. 2 at 5 p.m. at Prince George County Community College Center for Performing Arts. AFRICAN/AFRICAN AMERICAN LIBERATION MINISTRY (A/AALM): AKWAABA means Welcome! A/AALM invites you to participate in all 2020 events, including field trips, workshops, discussions and more to help explore the life and culture of Africans & African-Americans. LAY ORGANIZATION: The Lay Ministry 2020 Membership Drive is open until March 1st. It’s time to renew your annual membership or return to active membership! All ages are encouraged to take part in the Lay Ministry as this year has a lot in store with significant Connectional activities including national elections, voter registration and the Census. Meet members of the Lay Organization in the Narthex for details and register TODAY!

BRIDGES OF HOPE-WARM NIGHTS: Join the Potter’s House Ministry to have the opportunity to minister to those who are experiencing economic challenges and homelessness. Come join as we make a difference in the lives of our brothers and sisters in the Bridges of Hope-Warm Nights program during the week of Jan. 26-Feb. 2. For the 25th year we will open our doors to provide church-based emergency shelter through this program. Contact the Potter’s House Ministry at pottershouse@ebenezerame.org or after both services in the Narthex.

BRIDGES OF HOPE-SUPPORT: Brothers, we need YOU! If you are available to support the Bridges of Hope – Warm Nights project as night monitors, licensed barbers and with set up and break down, please sign up in the Narthex after both services.

BRIDGES OF HOPE – SUPPLY DRIVE: The supply drive for this effort will continue through January 26. Donation Boxes will be available in the Narthex and Admin area. Supplies needed include new pillows, new blankets (twin size), gift cards for gas, pharmacies (CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, etc.), food (Giant, Safeway, etc.).
