INITIAL SERMONS: Ebenezer Church family; come show your support for the initial sermons of Bro. Kent Roberson and Sis. Patricia Stokes TODAY at 5 p.m.

NEW MEMBERS: The next New Members class will be Sat., Feb 16th at 10 a.m. and will focus on Church History.

BLESSING AND LOVE MARRIED & ENGAGED COUPLES (B.A.L.M.): Join the Blessing and Love Married and Engaged Couples (BALM) Ministry for a couple’s night out Feb. 15th from 7 p.m. to 11 pm. The theme of the evening is “The Power of Love.” The cost is $10 per couple. Learn about the power of prayer for your marriage, participate in Yoga with your bae…no mat, no sweat, no threat just you and your boo, enjoy dialogue with our Pastors and end the evening with fun and dancing. Attire is casual for the evening See the BALM Coordinators in the Narthex.

YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY: Everyone is looking for “real love,” but it starts with self-love. Let’s have some real talk our Valentine’s Day Young Adult Bible Study & Meet-Up this Thurs., Feb. 14th at 7:30. Young adults, don’t miss this dialogue along with light food, special prizes and more.

GRIEF SUMMIT: The Dept. of Comfort & Congregational Care and Youth Grief Initiative Annual Summit, “Conquering the Challenges of Life and Loss” is Sat., Feb. 23rd from 8 a.m.–2 p.m. here at the Main Church.  Cost is $25 per person ages 19 & up; $5 per child/youth (ages 6-18); and $5 per college student with a valid student ID. Breakfast and lunch included. Register in the Narthex.

MEN’S BIBLE STUDY: Brothers, you don’t want to miss this Bible Study. Come out this Thurs., Feb. 14th at 7:30 p.m.  Tell another brother and join them in the ZONE!

YOUTH/CHILDREN (KL4C) MINISTRY: This month our kids will join the teenagers Fri., Feb. 22nd for a special Black History Youth and Children’s Bible Study.

POETRY MINISTRY: Celebrate Black History Month with the Poetry Ministry Fri., Feb. 22nd at 6 p.m. The theme is Black Migration, Sankofa with performances by the Anointed P.E.N.S., African drumming and dancing, Ebenezer’s Men’s Praise Team, open mic and more. The featured poet will be Monica Leak. If you have a love of poetry, come enjoy this celebration of our history, our culture and our love for Christ.

SCHOLARSHIP MINISTRY: Scholarship applications will be posted on Ebenezer’s website Feb. 12th. All applications are due electronically by April 11th. Check the website periodically as additional applications may be posted.

GLOBAL MISSIONS: The Ebenezer Global Missions Ministry needs your support to collect Reading Eyeglasses (in a case or pouch) for our Brothers and Sisters in Malawi, Southeast Africa in the 20th Episcopal District of the AME Church. Drop-off containers will be available for donations at the Main & Admin. entrances now until Sun., Feb. 24th.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH: It’s Black History Month. This week we are profiling Jackie Robinson. “#42” was born 100 years ago on January 31, 1919 and challenged racial stereotypes to become the first African-American to play major league baseball. Robinson broke the baseball color line when the Brooklyn Dodgers started him at first base in 1947.
