PREACHING ENGAGEMENTS: Pastor Rev. Dr. Grainger Browning Jr. will be preaching at Bethel AME Church in Owings Mills, MD Tues. Oct. 13th at 7 p.m. for the 27th Pastoral Anniversary of Rev. Dr. Frank Reid.

Co-Pastor Jo Ann Browning will be preaching at Union Bethel AME Church in Brandywine MD Weds. Oct. 14th at 7 p.m. for their Empowerment Service. Directions for both services are available at the Security desk and Admin. area.

MEN’S SEASON 2015: Men’s Season 2015 is underway! Register for the 2015 Summerville 10-5K Run, Walk and 50K Bike Ride Sat. Oct. 17th now being held at Ft. Washington Park. Register online today at www.racepacket.com.

Then, join the Men of Ebenezer as they grill it up at their 2nd Annual Tailgate Cook-Off Competition and Fellowship Sat., Oct. 24th 12 p.m.-3 p.m. This grilling fellowship and competition will have you licking your fingers. Tasting tickets are $10. To purchase tickets or to register to grill, stop by the Men’s Season table. Both events are open to men and women!

MINISTRY FAIR: Come out and see how your gifts and talents can be used for the kingdom of God. The Ebenezer Fall Ministry Fair will be held Sat. Oct 24 th10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Meet with various church ministries to learn more about what they do and how you can become a part. All ages welcome!

Also, ministry leaders, sign up for the Ministry Fair by Mon., Oct. 19th at eventsplanning@ebenezerame.org. Check your Ministry mailbox in the Admin. Area for full registration info.

POETRY MINISTRY: Celebrate National Arts and Humanities Month Fri., Oct. 16th at 6 p.m. in on the 3rd Floor. Participants include featured poet, CeLillianne Green, members of the Ebenezer Poetry Ministry, the Malcolm X Drummers and more.  The ministry is recruiting new members, so if you have a love of poetry, come out! EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION AND ASSISTANCE MINISTRY: Employment Information and Assistance Ministry will hold its first planning meeting Thurs., Oct. 15th at 7 p.m. on the Mezzanine.  At this meeting, employment direction and assistance will be provided.

NEW MEMBERS CLASS: The next New Members’ class is this Sat. Oct. 17th from 10 a.m.-12 noon and will focus on Church History.

MULTI-MEDIA MINISTRY: The Multi-Media Ministry is seeking volunteers with a background or interest in working in directing, camera operation, video graphics, duplication and sales. Call 301-248-8833.

HEALTH MINISTRY: THINK PINK! October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Ribbons and educational information are in the Narthex. On Sun., Oct., 18th everyone is asked to wear pink in recognition of the fight against breast cancer. Fact #2: Screening Musts…Monthly breast self-exams should start at age 20. Clinical breast exams by a trained medical professional every 2-3 years beginning at age 20, and annually after age 40. Mammography screening every 1-2 years for women ages 35-40.

Make plans to attend a Breast Cancer Awareness Forum sponsored by Sisters Helping Sisters under the direction of the Women’s Resource & Restoration Center Thurs., Oct. 22nd at 7 p.m. with guest Speaker is Dr. Regina Hampton from Signature Breast Cancer Center in Lanham, MD. The evening will include personal journey moments, refreshments, door prizes and more.
