Betty T. Wooten Nursing Scholarship
The Betty T. Wooten Nursing Scholarship is for members of Ebenezer A.M.E. church who plan to further or continue their education in the Fall of 2021 full time at an accredited college or university with an accredited nursing program or related medical field; First year college students (freshmen) whose parents succumbed to breast cancer may also apply irrespective of major. Applicants must be a recorded member of Ebenzer as of January 2020.
Bishop Benjamin T. Tanner Returning College Students Scholarship
This scholarship is for recorded members of Ebenezer A.M.E. Church (prior to June 26, 2020) and who are currently enrolled in a college/university or trade school and plan to continue their education in the Fall of 2021. Applicants must be under the age of 22.
Bishop Benjamin T. Tanner Scholarship
This scholarship is for recorded members of Ebenezer A.M.E. Church (prior to June 26, 2020) and who are eligible for graduation from high school in the Spring of 2021. Applicants must be planning to further their education in the Fall of 2021.
Bishop Richard Allen Scholarship
This scholarship is for minority students from Crossland, Friendly, Gwynn Park, Oxon Hill, Suitland and Surrattsville High School and who are eligible for graduation in the Spring of 2021. Applicants must be planning to further their education in the Fall of 2021. The Bishop Richard Allen Scholarship is available to those students who are nonmembers of Ebenezer A.M.E. Church.
George and Charlenia Scholarship
The George and Charlenia Coulter Scholarship Fund is for members of Ebenezer A.M.E. Church who are eligible for graduation from an accredited college in the Spring of 2021 and who plan to further their education in the Fall of 2021 in an accredited Graduate Program. Applicants must be recorded members of Ebenezer as of June 25, 2020.
Harry Lee Jackson Scholarship (Administered by the King’s Men Choir of Ebenezer)
The Harry Lee Jackson Jr. Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to three deserving minority males between the ages of 16-24, residing within the Metropolitan Washington DC, Southern Maryland and Northern Virginia areas. All applicants must be attending or begin attendance, in a college or trade school by the fall of 2021.
Isaac Gourdine Scholarship
This scholarship is for recorded members of Ebenezer A.M.E. Church (prior to June 24, 2020) and who are eligible for graduation from a high school or an alumni of a school in Prince George’s County and are planning to further or continue their education in the Fall of 2021.
Jewels Ministry Scholarship
This scholarship is for recorded members of Ebenezer A.M.E. Church (prior to May 2, 2020) and who are undergraduate adults over the age of 34 and plan to further or continue their education in the Fall of 2021 at a college or university.
Rev. Donald Vails Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is for recorded members of Ebenezer A.M.E. Church (prior to June 26, 2020) and who are eligible for graduation from high school in the Spring of 2021. Applicants must be planning to further their education in the Fall of 2021.
The Pew Ministry Scholarship
This scholarship is for minority students between the ages of 16-24, residing within the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia area. Applicants must be seeking a degree in Broadcast Journalism and planning to attend or further their education in the Fall of 2021. The Pew Ministry Scholarship is available to those students who are nonmembers or members of Ebenezer. A.M. E. Church.
Spouses in Transition Scholarship
This scholarship is for recorded members of Ebenezer A.M.E. Church (prior to May 7, 2020), who are children of a deceased parent, and who are eligible for graduation from high school in the Spring of 2021. Applicants must be planning to attend or furthering their education in the Fall of 2021.
Sydney-Chanele Dawkins Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is for female students majoring in Journalism or participating in the Writers in the Arts Program and reside in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Northern Virginia area. Applicants must be eligible for graduation in the Spring of 2021 and planning to attend a college or university in the Fall of 2021 or furthering their education as an undergraduate student in Journalism or in the Writers in the Arts Program. The Sydney-Chanele Dawkins Memorial Scholarship is available to those students who are nonmembers or members of Ebenezer. A.M. E. Church.
